仕事内容

Department Overview
The Incentive Platform Department (INPD) provides incentive and payment solutions that empower Rakuten's businesses around the world, including Rakuten's Point/Loyalty, Coupon, Campaign, and Payment Gateway platforms. The capabilities and scale of these platforms are being continuously upgraded to accelerate synergy between and within the Rakuten ecosystem.
We develop and manage an offline coupon platform which supports OMO coupon business in Rakuten.
Offline Coupon Group mission is enhancing our user frontend system together with our backend platform and business owners. This system is the core system for Rakuten to introduce our Offline Coupon business into the market. This position has a chance to grow the offline coupon business.

Position Details
- Lead the definition of project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with executive stakeholders, business owners, product managers, and technology teams.
- Develop comprehensive plan, including multi-year roadmaps, timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, and communication strategies. Execute, and track projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that their needs are met throughout the program and project lifecycle.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, product and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with product managers to develop and maintain project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with overall platform strategy.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks, proactively finding solutions to keep projects on track.
- Create and maintain project documentation. providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues, including timelines, budgets, and status reports.
- Ensure that the platform meets all security, compliance, and performance requirements, proactively identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate platform releases, ensuring smooth and seamless deployments.
- Provide post-implementation support to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruption to business operations.
- Proactively communicate during troubleshooting (on-call).
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity.

求める経験・スキル

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a proven record of successfully launching and managing complex software development projects and programs.
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of Jira/Confluence and other project management tools.
- Strong Leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellence in Communication, Issues and Risk Management.
- Excellence in reporting, presentation & meeting facilitation.
- Mediate conflicts between stakeholders with differing priorities and find balanced solutions.
- Motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve common goals without direct authority.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certification is required.

Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree (MS or PHD).
- Programing Experience.
- Product Management Knowledge.
- Very strong sense of ownership and accountability- particularly during production issue management.
- Experience working on multiple products/projects in parallel.
- Experience in working with cross-cultural global teams in different locations.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior project managers.
