Announcement of the UI Turn Cost Support Campaign for Engineers Moving to Nagoya

Overview
At MFBC (Money Forward Business Company), we primarily develop and offer the B2B service "Money Forward Cloud." Money Forward Cloud is a component-based cloud ERP that allows users to choose combinations based on their needs and is composed of multiple service groups. However, if these service groups are developed individually, it can lead to data silos, a decline in user experience, and reduced development efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to strategically standardize these services. Our Business Platform Development department is responsible for building this common foundation and promoting its stable use across services.

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager for the Workflow Platform Development Department, which provides workflow functions utilized by various services within the business platform. While each service may refer to these functions as workflows, the requirements vary by service. To enable all services to use a common workflow, we are actively developing and promoting functional integration.

Given the numerous departments involved and the need for functional expansion, we require an expansion of the management layer to ensure more stable team operations.

Additionally, we are collaborating with MFV, our affiliated company in Vietnam, to advance development, necessitating effective team management across multiple locations. We aim for a flexible team operation, advocating for a flat development organization that transcends company affiliation and location, rather than traditional offshore development.

To address these challenges, we are seeking an Engineering Manager who can lead management initiatives and resolve both technical and organizational issues for our expanding team.

Responsibilities and Duties
As part of the Workflow Platform Development Department within the Business Platform Development Division at MFBC, you will be responsible for:

Promoting management within a global engineering organization
Solving both technical and organizational challenges associated with team expansion
Contributing to productivity improvement and growth strategy formulation and execution for the engineering organization from a mid- to long-term perspective
Facilitating cross-departmental collaboration and building mutual understanding and cooperation between engineers and non-engineers
Developing next-generation leaders within the team and implementing talent development initiatives for sustainable organizational growth
Enhancing engineer satisfaction to encourage internal engineers to refer their peers

求める経験・スキル

Required Skills and Experience
Experience in managing engineering organizations
Sufficient development and design experience to understand and address engineering challenges (regardless of language or architecture)
Experience in effectively coordinating expectations with multiple stakeholders to achieve effective division of labor

Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience managing foreign engineers
Technical expertise to make and drive logical decisions in technical domains
Work experience abroad
Experience in service implementation consulting
Connections with talented engineers that contribute to organizational growth
Experience in AI development and/or experience in using AI tools to improve development processes.

Language Requirements
Business-level Japanese proficiency (N2+ or equivalent)
Capable of handling client communication in Japanese
Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC score of 700+ or equivalent)
Able to handle meetings and written communication in English from the start
