The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of the Rakuten Ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships.
Within TPD, the Ecosystem Platform Supervisory Department (EPSD) develops scalable and reliable platforms that support the entire Rakuten Ecosystem globally, fostering a culture of ownership and data-driven decision-making.

The Marketing Cloud Platform Department (MCPD) is responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and implementation of the company's marketing-related product portfolio. Our core mission is to empower Rakuten's internal marketing teams by providing engaging, respectful, and cost-efficient marketing platforms centered on customer needs.
Position:
Position Details
The position is crucial to support and execute successfully promoting adoption software services developed Inhouse to Internal and External clients. As a counterpart to both the Japan HQ and outside Japan stakeholders, bringing value to marketing productivity. Our primary mission is to successfully deliver an "Accessible, Stable, and Productive Ecosystem Services" for Internal and External Marketing clients. Portfolio of this role encompasses various service orientations such as marketing, customer loyalty, incentives, satisfaction, retention and engagement success.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and grow revenue from Rakuten Internal and External Clients.
- Manage communication and reporting to Client, Management, business partners.
- Create go to market strategy for products, execute, manage pipeline and analysis.
- Acquire and onboard new clients, cross-sell products by collaborating with relevant partners and stakeholders.
- Propose and explain product/service pricing to clients, support budgeting communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage product budget, forecasting, negotiation with clients, stakeholders; analyze business results and work on risk management.
- Support relevant monthly/quarterly business reporting meetings with stakeholders.
- Influence product development, priorities, pricing and roadmap with clients’ feedback.
求める経験・スキル
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of software or software service-related product sales management experience in a matrix organization.
- Track record of managing products or businesses for at least 5 years, encompassing various stages such as launch, growth, and maturity.
- Possesses understanding of big data and the Marketing Technology (MarTech) domain.
- Capable of effectively communicate with individuals Internally and externally at all levels of the organization. Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong business sense with quantitative and analytical skills, independent, and result-oriented mindset.
- Strong passion for business growth, with a customer and data-driven approach to achieve and "Get Things Done" mindset. (Refer to Rakuten’s Shugi: Rakuten Shugi | Rakuten Group, Inc.)
- Business-level fluency in Japanese to engage with stakeholders and conduct business in Japan. Preferably JLPT N2 or higher.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with usage of Sales Force or equivalent CRM tool.
