Job Description:
Business Overview
The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of Rakuten's ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships.   
Within TPD, the Cloud Platform Supervisory Department (CPSD) develops and manages Rakuten's state-of-the-art cloud platform, empowering global scalability and accelerating innovation across its diverse business units. 
 
　
Position Details
This position is within the Data Center Operation Section (DCOS), which plays a pivotal role in maintaining seamless Data Center functionality. DCOS acts as the primary communication channel, facilitating requests and information exchange between internal business sections and the physical Data Center operation team.
 
Key responsibilities include comprehensive Data Center monitoring, coordinating rapid incident response, and ensuring swift service restoration. Furthermore, DCOS is instrumental in establishing Data Center policies, developing internal training initiatives, and creating specialized software tools, all aimed at fostering a highly efficient Data Center environment with minimal service disruptions for internal business partners.
 
1. Business Partner Project & Request Handling
- Coordinate DC Resource Availability in support of internal business section requests and projects
- Review request scheduling and equipment availability
- Review hardware installation request & allocation DC rack space/power allocation/network cabling installation process
 
2. Site Staff & Logistics Management
- Processing New Hire/Termination Request
- Coordinate Hardware Delivery and Tool purchases for onsite members
- Analysis inventory levels, process equipment orders & shipping request
 
3. Data Center Policy Management
- Participate in Policy Review and Update Discussions
- Update & Maintain Section Documentation Portal
- Update and Delivery Training and Materials to DC Staff
 
4. DC Monitoring and Incident Response
- Participate in on-call monitoring and coordinate incident response with internal business sections
- Monitor weekly and monthly reporting, analysis data for infrastructure issues (power and cooling data)
- Create reporting using standard office tools (Excel Power Point), (BI Reporting, Automated Reporting Development)
 
5. DC Site Audits
- Conduct Quality of Work Inspections of DC Staff Activities
- Conduct DC Standard Regulatory Audits and Inspections
- Conduct Security Audits
 
6. DCOS Kaizen and Product Development
- Investigate new tools and develop software in support of section goals to monitor DC and provide stable products
- Development and implementation of cost reduction strategies
- Efficient operation and management of the data center

求める経験・スキル

Mandatory Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in a related field (e.g., IT support, data center operations)
- Basic IT Hardware Knowledge (PC/Server Hardware Maintenance, Software Installation/Administration, Network Installation & Troubleshooting)
- Strong organizational, documentation and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
 
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, VBA)
- Experience with BI Tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with Data Center Operations and best practices
- Experience in creating technical documentation and training materials
