Business Overview 
The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of Rakuten's ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships.   
Within TPD, the Cloud Platform Supervisory Department (CPSD) develops and manages Rakuten's state-of-the-art cloud platform, empowering global scalability and accelerating innovation across its diverse business units. 

Department Overview
The Cloud Management Department (CMD) leads Rakuten’s unified cloud infrastructure strategy by providing governance and essential tools to ensure seamless operation and high satisfaction among service providers and users. As the central point for strategy, planning, and process governance, we manage the cloud product portfolio, budgeting, quality, and security. Furthermore, we empower cross-departmental success through robust cloud foundation and management solutions.

Position Details
Rakuten Group, Inc. is expanding rapidly both from the size of business and diversity of business perspectives. To keep up with this rapid growth and changes of business, CPSD are always facing new challenges to scale our cloud capacity and adding new cloud capabilities while properly controlling the risk, resources and quality. We are a growing team with approximately 40, mainly in Tokyo and Bengaluru.

As a Senior Manager of the CMD, you will be responsible for defining the cloud product portfolio strategy, planning the strategic investment allocation to cloud products both private and public, and executing major strategic initiatives through program/project management team.

Your goal is to transfer and maintain our cloud product offerings as the best hybrid cloud portfolio in the world from scalability, agility, quality and cost efficiency perspectives.
You will work with stakeholders such as CTO and CFO of each business company (our internal customer), the group CTO who manages CPSD as an integral foundation of Rakuten’s technology community, product/development/operation managers of cloud products, and public cloud ps.
You should have a strong track record of successfully establishing cloud product portfolio strategy, executing product management and program/project management with guiding multiple product managers and DevOps managers to achieve challenging goals through cultural transformation.

Responsibilities (will be/part of)
- Product portfolio strategy based on the best mix of private and public cloud products.
- Pricing strategy to guide our internal customers to maximize their productivity and mid-term ROI.
- Budget management through strategic investment allocation based on the product portfolio strategy.
- Program/project management to execute the transformation and strategy.
- Security and Quality process governance with applying the most-up-to-date industry framework and compliances.

求める経験・スキル

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or above degree.
- Experience in Cloud platform industry (10 years+).
- Experience in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams (5 years+).
- Good understanding of Cloud industry, technology and DevOps process.
- Reasonable understanding of ROI based decision making process and basic accounting.
- Previous leadership and management experience of a mid size organization (at least 10, ideally 20+ members) in a tech company.
- Outstanding people manager with the ability to influence and grow direct, indirect reports and peers.

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or above degree in computer science or other science.
- Bachelor’s or above degree in business or economics.
- Experience of product management, product development and/or DevOps of cloud products, especially in the are of IaaS, PaaS, cloud orchestration, Agile/Scrum software development, data analytics, ITIL, or other relevant technical domains.
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and an ability to build strong open and trusted working relationships with senior management, peers and engineers.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel based on well organized priority management.
- Customer focused & product mindset.
- Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
