As a pioneer in the Expert Network Service (ENS) industry in Japan, we aim to further enhance our market presence and become a global product that transcends regional and linguistic barriers. While our ENS business has historically been developed by teams centered in North America and Europe, we are now looking to expand our development organization in Japan to deliver value to users and accelerate our growth with greater speed.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our development initiatives for the Global ENS Division.
This role will oversee product development, drive engineering excellence, and manage a team of approximately 10 engineers across Japan and other global regions.
Key Responsibilities

■Product Development Leadership
・Lead the design and development of new features and products.
・Build and maintain a robust operational structure for existing products.

■Development Efficiency & Innovation
・Identify and resolve technical debt through clear roadmaps.
・Drive adoption of AI-based development tools
・Optimize development processes to enhance delivery speed and quality.

■People Management
・Manage and mentor a team of around 10 engineers, including 1:1s, goal setting, and performance reviews.
・Recommend and implement improvements to the performance evaluation system.
・Recruit, onboard, and develop talent aligned with organizational goals.

Technical Environment
・Programming language: Python, C# (ASP.NET Core)
・Database: Microsoft SQL Server
・Machine Learning: Azure OpenAI

求める経験・スキル

Required Qualifications
・Proven experience managing software development teams.
・5+ years of hands-on backend development experience using web application frameworks (any language).
・Business-level Japanese and English (conversation, reading, and writing).
・Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications
・Experience in C# / .NET Framework development.
・Frontend experience with TypeScript + Angular.
・Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
・Experience leading multi-regional engineering teams.
・Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical decisions to profit and strategy.
・Skilled at building consensus across engineering, business, and leadership teams.
